What is TYRUN?
TYRUN is a seasonal fitness race, born In Belgium and built for the modern hybrid athlete. Where other races repeat a fixed formula, TYRUN does not. Each season has a new workout. New fitness exercises. New distances. New standards.
That’s exactly what makes TYRUN unique: it evolves. The structure stays consistent, a combination of cardio and functional strength movements, but the content changes every season. This forces you as an athlete to adapt: build endurance, get stronger, and come back better than before.
The result? A race that rewards versatility, endurance, and perseverance. No tricks, no specialization. Just: the all-round athlete.

How is TYRUN structured?
Every TYRUN race consists of 12 events, always built around 3 pillars: running, cardio, and strength. This structure is the heart of the concept. You run, then move to a cardio exercise, then do a strength event, and repeat that for 4 rounds. That rhythm never changes. What does change is the content: each season the exercises, distances, and weights get a new twist. This keeps the race surprising and challenging, even for returning participants.
Choose your division
TYRUN has three different divisions so everyone can start at their own level:
- Scaled: For Beginners and first-time racers. Lower weights, but the full format. Focus on experience and building confidence.
- Open: The standard competition level. Higher intensity, with moderate weights. For athletes with a solid fitness base.
- Pro: Heaviest weights, maximum complexity. For advanced and elite athletes who want to perform under pressure.
Whether you’re racing for the first time or have been training for years: there’s a division that suits you.
How do you prepare for TYRUN?
TYRUN calls for a hybrid training approach. That means strength and endurance training combined in one strategy. The all-round athlete doesn’t choose; they train everything.
Hybrid training: the basics

This way, your body gets used to the transition between strength and conditioning, exactly what TYRUN demands from you.
- What to focus on in your fitness plan:
